TomTom Start 25 Europe
Hello,

I have recently bought a Tomtom Start 25 Europe. The problem I have is that when I download MyTomtom program to get the updates that I have the right, I am not able to donwload the updates or Tomtom software is not able to recognise the GPS when I connect the device to a USB unit.

I have assured that the all computer's USB devices are working properly.

When I connect TT to the USB it opens the following page: https://www.tomtom.com/es_es/mytomtom/overview/index.jsp?dwc_settings=port:4000&dcp=2461 and MyTomTom icon tells me that there are 26 new items available, but I cannot in anyway to download it to GPS:

- If I click on "Details"option it appears me automatically the following page: https://www.tomtom.com/es_es/mytomtom/overview/index.jsp?dwc_settings=port:4000&dcp=3382

- If I click on "Add content to the community": I get the following page: http://169.254.255.1/pcmi/?locale=es_es

- In "Settings" everything seems to be correct because in the "Connections" tab, I have enabled the option "Direct connection to the Internet", and it seems that when I press the option "Verify Connection", there is correct.

Does anyone know what happens to the GPS, or what am I doing wrong?

Regards and thanks in advance.

What happens when you actually click the 'download' button on the screen showing the updates? What browser are you using?

There is one download symbol on the screen, that is an image allocated on the right-top corner, but I can`t click over it.

There is another link called "Details", but when I click over it, it opens this web page: https://www.tomtom.com/es_es/mytomtom/overview/index.jsp?dwc_settings=port:4000&dcp=10341 translated : https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/mytomtom/overview/index.jsp?dwc_settings=port:4000

Browser: Firefox 14.0.1

Operative System: Windows XP 32 bits

Strange. I also am running Firefox 14 on XP/32 SP3 and not having any issues here. I'm always mystified at what works on one system, and won't work on another.

Hello,

Dhn was right, using IE TT allows me to update itself.

Reason? Who knows? I think that I can`t update in Firefox maybe because I have Flashblock plugin installed.

Flash is dead, long live Flash. There are and will continue to be TONS of sites that require Flash in order to function.

Flashblock DOES support a "Whitelist" feature, but I hear it may have become broken at Firefox 13.

I'm running Java 6.0.330.3 and Flash 11.3.300.262 on Firefox 14.
