Cant recognise the letter B in Strabe

When searching for a road name my Rider 550 doesn’t recognise the word Strabe it’s because of the “B” in strabe. A part from changing key board to different countries any ideas. On phones you just hold figure on letters

That's not a "B". That's a German equivalent of a double s = "ss".
I'm not clear if you knew that or not, but you definitely cannot use a "b" or "B" to replace one and get a match.
Have you tried using "ss" instead?

"ß" is an "sz", pronounced "s tset", with the character not available on a
QWERTY keyboard but now commonly used as "ss".
When I went to school in 1949 "ss" was prohibited by the British High Command in Hamburg due to its connection with the former Nazi regime
