Canadian out of luck?

I have tried numerous times without success to buy the latest map ver.7.10 for my Go910. The U.K. site would only accept online purchases if you have a U.K. address.

I called TomTom support for assistance in this regard two days ago and was told that online purchases through Home could only be done for customers in the U.S.. Canada addresses are not accepted for online purchases, therefore there's no way I could buy the map upgrade except through 3rd party retailers in disc format.

I am wondering if any one in Canada has been successful with this purchase and would be grateful if you could help out. Thanks.

That's crap. Since I live in Switzerland, I hardly go to the Swiss site because its all in either German, French or Italian only. I purchased all my map upgrades via the UK website.

Map Share in Canada

Does Map Share work in Canada? I can't get it to show up on my Tomtom One. I also can't figure out how to post a question on this forum without just replying to someone else. There's very little instruction overall with the Tomtom One.

Thanks to zerimar and 46jimbo for the replies.

I have just tried the US map site and it is still undergoing updating etc.. I have also just tried the UK site regarding map purchase without success.

I have decided not to chase after that elusive map anymore. If I remember correctly, the 910 was among the lasts to be offered NavCore 7. If NA map is not readily available to people here in NA than I am inclined to think in line with zerimar's reasoning about business strategy posted in another Thread.

It is a bit sad to see my 3/4 yr. old, over $500 investment, TomTom flagship not too long ago, destined to become an antiquity so soon.

I should have picked the nuvi350 when I have the choice. Its longevity even among its many newer sibilings is amazing, it has available map updates too.

Thanks.
