Can you turn off a destination

I would like to use the Bluetooth on my 720. If a destination was input and I turned the unit off before I reached that destination, the 720 still has the same destination when I turn it on (several days later, miles from the this last destination). It then gives me directions to a place that I do not want to go.

I don't want to put a new destination, I just want to use the bluetooth.

Is there a way to clear the destination so the unit just shows the map and I can use the bluetooth?

three choices

" clear route " before you turn off unit.



when you turn on unit....touch screen and arrow over to " clear route ".



touch screen....change preferences....arrow over to....start up preferences....choose another option.

Your current selection is most likely "Continue where I left Off" if you turn off the unit prior to getting to your destination, when the unit turns on, it re-routes thinking that you are still in-route to the old destination. To resolve do one of to things:

1) Clear your route prior to turning off.
or
2) Select one of the other options from the list under Start-Up preferences.

I myself have selected the "Main Menu" option.
