Can you transfer favorites from another unit?

I have searched around and found that the favorites are in the mapsettings.cfg file but it seemed like most everyone was only referring to restoring the file on the same unit. Can I take the file from my TT One and put it on my 530S or will this totally screw the unit up?

It may work but there also may be issues if one map is somewhat different than another.

What many do is to convert their favourites to a custom poi set that can be readily copied from map to map.
