Can Tomtom One 3rd edition say street names?

I just bought a tomtom one 3rd edition for my wife as a Xmas present. Her first trip with it was really difficult because the device would give instruction but not mention a street name with it.
Can the Tomtom one 3rd edition be configured or upgraded to say street or highway names along with the turn instructions?

No the 3rd edition and the LE cannot do that.

That is a capability of more expensive TomTom units...

Here is a suggestion. You can setup the TomTom to prominently show the street name for the next turn. So the GPS is not speaking the name, but at least you can read it.
