Can the 720 be locked?

i would like to lock my tomtom 720 for security purpose.however,after i tried and failed,i contacted tom tom support .i was told that 720 cannot be locked with a password.
does any 720 owner encounter the same problem?

Congratulations...........you are the one millionth customer of TomTom Support to get a WRONG answer!

(unfortunately, no prize.......)

Start Home and connect your 720.........Start the emulator (Operate MY Go).

Click on Change Preferences. Move to Screen 6 and choose 'Set Owner'. The first screen asks if you want to change your address BUT the second screen asks if you want to enter a 4-digit password.

Be advised: If you DO choose to enter a password, not only will you be asked for it every time you boot up (which you want) But, and a BIG but ......... if you forget the password, there is no easy way to retrieve it without paying $$$$$$ to TomTom for assistance.
