Can not update the map

Hi
i am trying to download the new map update for my tomtom xl through the tomtom home and been getting the internal server error for the last week. Is there any way to update the maps?

What version of Home are you using and are you trying for the map using Update My Unit or Add Maps?
 
Hi im using version 2.8.1.2218 and im trying to update the map. I get in the main menu and the newer versions of your map comes up and i click on that.

The issue may be this..........

Purchases by Canadians go through pay servers in The Netherlands. (and 20% VAT is charged on all orders!)

Anyway, it may be that the credit card you're trying to use is being rejected by the company doing the handling of purchases.

I'd call CS at 866-486-6866 (they're open now) and ask them to help resolve the issue.

Do NOT accept an answer that Canadians cannot purchase maps. I have done it and so have others, even having to go through The Netherlands.

If you get that response, ask for a second level support person.

Have them STAY on the phone while you work through the appropriate screens on the computer.
