Can Maps be ported from one TomTom to another?

I've had a TT Go 730 for a bit over a year and haven't updated the maps. It's not a big issue near home in NJ but if I go further away, say central or western PA, there are new roads and then it is a big deal. I just bought a new XL335S for my wife and will use the latest map guarantee to get the most up to date maps I can on that machine. Can I port the map files from the XL335 to the GO 730? How would I do that?

I understand I will need to update the application on the GO 730. I'd rather not because of the FM transmitter issue, but if I have to...

You cannot copy maps from one device to another as they are locked to the device they are activated to, if you want a new map for both devices you will need to purchase them twice - Mike
