Can I use my XL335S to just show me where I am travelling?

Can I use my tomtom to just show me where I am travelling, the same way it does when it is directing you to a destinations. I just want it to stay on to see where I am but not having it directing me to a specific destination?

I can't figure out how to set this up?

Sure. Just go to driving view (make sure you have a solid gps fix) and it should show what street you are on as you are travelling.

(In other words, click 'done' when the unit starts up)
