Besides the fact that its a target for theives. Is it ok for me to leave my TomTom ONE sit in the window during a hot or cold day all day long? Will it hurt the unit at all. I would think itd be made to take it but I just wanted to make sure. I always get nervous about hurting new toys. :)

It is OK most of the time, but you are going to eventually get it snatched. On hot days, you should use a sun shade that would fit between the unit and the windshield. You might want to check out the Warranty and specs as to allowed operating temperatures.

I take it out of the cradle and put it away in the car out of view (my mount is not on the windshield anymore though). I have had no problems with temperatures that way - it does not get as hot that way as opposed being in a closed car and directly in the sun.

extreme temperatures will have an effect on the battery life, not to mention the screen. Try to keep it between 10-25?C.
