TomTom Model(s)
Campervan and Caravan Sat Nav GO Camper Max 2nd Premium Pack 7" screen
I have a TomTom Campervan and Caravan Sat Nav GO Camper Max 2nd with premium pack.
I downloaded an ov2 file that contained info on Camping Car Park sites from Search for Sites website. I then went to Plan TomTom and tried to import the 23kb file into 'My Items' 'Places' 'POI' files. This seemed to work as I can see file name in the list but nothing on the map. I have tried other POI ov2 files always with the same result. I never get to see the POIs on the map or synced to the device.
Am I missing something here? Any help appreciated I'm at a total loss here :/

I am perpetually taken sideways by the number of "Camper"/"Caravan" models TomTom has released, and knowing for sure which generation you own will make a huge difference to the answer here.

Please advise the first two characters of your unit's serial number. Based upon the "Camper Max 2nd Gen" name you used, I fear it may start with B7, in which case you can't send custom POI files to that device. The last two generations of TomTom devices have not supported *.ov2 custom POI files. Neither do their phone apps. Stupid, I think, given how many find a need for that feature in their use model, but there you have it.

All you can do is load up your device with a bunch of individual favorites, all of which will be displayed when you search for any of them in your list. Hope your list is short...

Thanks for the reply, the serial number starts with B4.

The file contains 600 points, these a motorhome stopover sites provided by Camping Car Park https://www.campingcarpark.com/en_GB/

The file ov2 file is provided by https://www.searchforsites.co.uk/download.php (not sure you have access without a login).

Not having the ability to import would be a real pain as there are so many similar files such as 'Caravan and motorhome club' sites etc.

Alas - B4 isn't any better than B7 in this regard. Your device can't handle *.ov2 files.

IIRC, the last 'camper' model that could handle these custom POI files was this one:

If this feature is critical to you, you might want to reconsider your purchase.

Thanks for the update even though it's bad news. This is something I wish I knew before spending £300 UK, just another disappointment with the device.
As well as this issue it's made a few mistakes routing my motorhome (RV) despite setting dimensions (plus a bit more), I now export a GPX to Google and check it over. Shame, that's the main purpose for the purchase, motorhome specific routing.
Anyway, rant over and thanks again.
