Is it possible for tomtom to only warn you off cameras etc if they are live and on your side of road ie iff on dual carraigway etc and camera is pointing in oppisite direction to your journey plan why do I need to be informned

Yes I have got pocket gps data base loaded on tomtom 750

I have been told by somebody that, in the UK, certain camera types can be turned 180 degrees ........ and sometimes are.

Isn't that correct?

TomTom's OWN camera data does only alert to cameras on your side of the road. But unfortunately it's not very good.

Third-party camera databases such as the one from PocketGPSWorld DO contain the direction information, but TomTom have never produced software that allows the information to be used for user-POIs.

But to be honest, is it THAT bad to get the odd extra warning that you might be speeding?
I also find it reassuring to know that cameras "on the other side" are also in the database.
