Bought a 550 Rider World edition. Can I load U.S. maps on it and use it like my old (lost) 550?

Sorry if this has been answered, but I've used the 550 Rider for a few years and I love it. But I saw they are discontinuing US sales. I stupidly bought the 550 Rider from a UK shop without asking this question first.

If anyone could answer or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

The Rider 550 has world maps so you can download and install an American map without problem.

To have the Maps you must register the new rider on a Tomtom account
