Blinking Red "X" - Solved

Have had my 720 for a year - no issues.
After downloading latest update, my 720 would load the welcome screen and then show a progress bar as the application tried to load.
Next, a white X in the middle of a red circle appears - blinking.

A quick call to TomTom tech support provided the solution. They were prompt to answer and very helpful.
