TomTom Model(s)
Rider 450
I have a TomTom Rider 450. Today I was in Lincoln and wanted to go to Skegness, so I put Skegness into the satnav.
On the way it would send me down a road, then after a few seconds tell me to take the 4th exit at a roundabout - a U turn in other words. I would take the U turn and it would tell me to take the 4th exit at the next roundabout - another U turn. I would be stuck in a never ending loop between the 2 roundabouts.
I eventually made it to journeys end according to the satnav. I was in a small village just outside Nottingham, 180° in the wrong direction.
Is it f****d? Or would a reset help?
Thanks.

Did you have a strong gps signal on the device or was the blue arrow going to gray and back again? The latest map is 11.10. Was it yours?

Was the battery charged in the device? What driving restrictions--if any--did you put on the device?

Were all roads paved on the route?

Wish to be clearer about your route. I get the Lincoln to Skegness, but you say you found yourself near Nottingham? That's not 180 in the wrong direction, it's way past Skegness but in the right direction. I'd have expected A158 to Skegness, but it sounds like it took you in some other direction entirely such that you bypassed Skegness on the way to the 'small village just outside Nothingham'?

Can you help by giving rough lat/long information for the two traffic circles that 'trapped' you? And am I really understanding that you went Lincoln > Nottingham (roughly) > Skegness?

I live in Lincolnshire and I think the OP was correct. Skegness is on the East coast so definitely east of Lincoln. Nottingham lies well to the West of Lincoln so where the SatNav directed him was most certainly 180 degrees from where he wanted to be. No body wanting to go from Lincoln to Skegness would expect to be directed anywhere near Nottingham

What was the village called?

There is a Skegsby north of Nottingham. Did you inadvertently select Skegsby rather than Skegness from the offered list when you started typing in Skeg.........?

I'm wondering the same thing. I seem also to have accidentally selected Skegsby rather than Skegness, which accounts for my odd post, above suggesting that he needed to be going westbound rather than eastbound!
