TomTom GO Superior
I have a GOSUPERIOR6’ recently purchased eight weeks ago. I have tried to charge the battery. The readout sais 100% charged. However on removing the USB lead The battery warning sign comes on suggesting no charge. Help!!!

How do you charge your GO?

Do you use the cigarette lighter charger that came with the GPS?

A wall charger?

Or do you plug the USB plug of the cable directly into the USB socket in your car.

Have tried all options.left the unit on charge for three days. Same result. As soon as it is installed back in the vehicle the warning battery sign comes on. Also tried the tom tom fast charger in the vehicle. Same result.

Is the cable you use at home the same one you use in your car?

Or maybe your magnetic windshield mount is faulty.

To try, plug the cable directly into your GPS, let us know if the GPS still turns off.

Yes- same USB cable. I have tried to bypass the screen magnetic contact with the same result. When the unit is charging the battery symbol on the screen shows 100%. As soon as the cable is disconnected the battery warning sign comes on.??

In the car, the GPS must always remain connected to the cigarette lighter charger.

If you still encounter the same problem, you must contact Tomtom to request a repair or exchange.

I have always connected the GPS to the cigarette lighter. I had seven years trouble free use from my last Tom Tom so am familiar with the setup.
I have tried to contact Tom Tom but have always been directed to the Forum. Could you supply me with a link..
Thanks for your efforts.
