I often use my 720 on battery power alone, and liked the idea of turning the screen off between instructions, especialy as it is far too bright at night even turn down to 0% brightness.
What I get when the screen wakes up to give me a new message is the unit switching to maximum brightness - you know what it is like at night, the searchlight in your face - and when you go and look at the brightness settings they both still show 0%, and I need to move them up and back down again before the screen brightness will reduce.
Am I alone in seeing this ???
I used to have a Go700, which had the same problem, and thought it was an isolated issue, but now I am not so sure.
I have already been in discussions with Support, and their response has been to upgrade the software (again).
