battery life

I really used my 720 today for a trip and only got about 1 hour from the battery before it flashed a yellow screen with battery showing a 1/2 charge symbol and then shut off totally. I then pluged the car charger in and it showed about 1/2 batter left maybe a bit more left but device shuts off and will not turn back on. without being pluged in.


Why does it shut off with 1 /2 battery left.

Battery Charge

Try using the house charger for at least 4 hours once a week. I called TomTom and that is what they told me I needed to do, for a 300 that would not come on at all. The reset button is on the bottom on mine, you will need a toothpick or straight pin.

I will have to try the reset button. I will leav it on all day tomarrow starting at a set time and see how long and when exactly it shuts off.
