What kind of life are you guys getting on your 730's before the battery is so low that the voice prompts get scratchy etc?

I get around an hour without running Bluetooth or MP3's etc. Brightness and volume are at 80%

This is an observation of possible low battery indication and not a direct answer to how long is the battery life. I have noticed my 730 seems to be awful sensitive to touch at many times. I have concluded this is only when the battery is low. It is so sensitive I cannot even check out the battery symbol because the screens are changing so often.
I've also noticed I sometimes do NOT get the suitcase closing when I turn off the 730. Is it possible, it is not turning off and therefore effecting my "battery life".
I do think I've used my 730 (hand held using battery power only) for at least an hour without any noticeable degradation of performance. I will start trying to measure this more methodically by just turning it on and leaving it for an hour; then try to battery indicator to see how much life is left. If it looks like there is still significant life left, I will leave it on for another 1/2 hour.
My wife is using it on a trip today and tomorrow so I won't get to try this until Sunday or Monday.

Nice

Thanks that would be great! I seem to get roughly an hour out of mine before the voice starts getting scratchy. I'll look at the battery and it's still about half full and Yellow.

One would think when the manufacturers claimed battery life is 5hrs that even at full settings you could expect 2hrs. I love my TomTom but the battery life leaves a little to be desired so far.

I just left mine on for 3hrs. I did a little work on it such as planning one trip for my wife but generally it was just sitting there unplugged. It showed about 3/8's battery left and the symbol was yellow. I'm recharging it now.

You are right - it does not come close to the life of the 510/910's.

I had my most annoying session with TomTom support on trying to get some use out of "battery saving preferences', which is totally inoperative on my 920. Rather then answer the question and find a solution, he would go away for a few minutes and then come back and repeat "the battery for the 920 is good for about two hours of operation...." and no reference to my question.

I believe that the option to shut down the screen (which is set to 100% brightness) between instructions would help stretch it out, but it does work.
