ONE XL-S
I made a backup using HOME of my XL-S before I made all of the changes to the maps, etc. I have not backed up since. Can I copy those backup files out of the directory and hold them, make a new backup with the new updates and map, and still be able to put those original backup files back if I ever wanted to restore my TT to its original state?

If yes, would I just replace the backup files in the backup folder with the original ones and do the restore?

Sorry for all of the questions today.

I suggest you get into the habit of doing a copy with windows explorer (if you are on windows) with hidden files and folders set to show. This is more fool-proof, as TT backups sometimes do not work.

leave your current Home backup alone, and maka a copy of your current device setup. If you ever have to, it is easy to do a clean install with it.
