I bought a TT One 3rd in May 2008 in the UK with European Maps. As I was in the UK for 6 months, I backed it up on my brother's computer. Back home I bought an NZ map and as it wouldn't fit I transferred the European map onto my computer (I thought) and loaded NZ. Now I want to swop back as I am returning to the UK, but I can't find the European map;am I only allowed one backup? My brother's computer crashed and he lost ny backup in the UK. Am I lost?

You can have as many backups as you want (using Explorer, so you can put each backup in its own folder).

But that doesn't seem to be the issue here. The point is, you need a source to backup FROM and you don't seem to have one.

I guess you can try calling Support, explain the situation and see if they make at least an older version of Western_Europe available for you to download.

You might try logic on them. To wit, if you give them the serial number of the unit, they should be able to track it as being a European model. So, logic would say that it must have originally come with a Western_Europe map (all this in contrast to it having been a model sold in NZ/Australia).

Anyway, good luck.

(Your other option would be to consider a newer model with current maps when you get back to Europe.)
