I have 2 go910 units and I don't know how to back up and operate on the same computer. Do I install 2 separate TomTom Home folders with separate ser #'s. Please advise.

You only need one instance of Home on the computer. Use separate email addresses/passwords for each unit as id's. That is IMPORTANT.

When you connect unit A to Home, Home will recognize the unit by its specific email address you created for the account than the one you created for unit B. You don't even need to use real email addresses, just one in the proper format of (e-mail address removed)

Finally............for backing up.......

DON'T use Home. Instead, see below:

So, use a different folder for unit A from unit B and you are all set!!

I just went thru an ordeal using 2 devices on the same puter. Your circumstance is somewhat different in that you have 2 of the same devices, where I had 2 completely different models.

As dhn states, you only need one HOME, using a different email address to sign into each account.

The problem I had, was that the destination folders (4 of them) which can be seen in the "items on computer" tab were being shared by each device. This caused a real problem when I went to purchase a new map for one of the items.

Because both or your units are the same model, this might not be an issue, but you may want to change up the destination folders for one of the units.

Cheers!

Great Help!

:)Thanks rcacs and dhn. Worked fine. Happy Thanksgiving. I love the 910, I used it walking in Venice Italy and wow what a help.
