Auto power off tomtom XL classic?

Hi,

My new tomtom classic XL doesn't seem to have auto power off function like my old tomtom one did, i.e. turn off when power is lost.

Any idea how to turn this on?

Is there a battery savings preference on that model? If so, that's where you will find the option.

No battery saving preference unfortunately.

Can I add it via custom menu?

I'm not sure whether you can or not.

Don't think Battery_Status existed when that thread was started but you can try to play around.

Make sure you do an Explorer, not Home, backup prior to any experimenting with custom menus.

I can't see it in the custom menu item options.

That's my point. I don't think you can create it with a custom menu.
