auto on/off - 740

I just bought a 740 live and am wondering how to get it to behave like my old 910. When I attach the unit to a power source that turns on and off with the ignition, the 910 powered on and off, I cannot get the 740 to do this. Am I missing something?

Auto on isn't possible, if you still had Auto on working on your 910 then it must have been running very old software as they (TT) removed this feature ages ago!
Auto Off is available, go to change preferences/ Battery Saving Preferences and de-select the checkbox "Device stays on when external power is lost" - Mike
