What model do you have, what firmware, what map and what is not working?

The application (firmware) can be found by tapping the satellite bars. The next screen shows the version number. Now, tap the version number and the next screen shows the map and version installed.

Sorry, your question wasn't too clear initially.........

You'll have to buy a map for Australia and install in on your unit. I'm not sure what model you have so I don't know whether you can install on a sd card or need to do it on internal (and perhaps copy your existing map to the computer so that you have sufficient space).

If you are an Australian user, you would have an Australian map registered to your TomTom.

Otherwise you need to purchase the map from TomTom in order for the map to be downloaded to your TomTom.

Ensure you have enough space for it, else you copy your map file of the contry you have and save it some where on your computer.

Download the Australian map and you should be able to use it in Australia. You have to purchase it of course.
