another tomtom 530 question

Looked in the instruction book and on me tomtom, but...how do you stop it from turning off while your listening to music. it keeps saying turning off in 8 seconds. calnt find the power options, please help.

Are you listening on battery power? There is a preference-->battery savings preference (page 7), never dim screen or dim screen and then the next screen is turn off when external power is lost. Uncheck that.
