Another North America question

I recently purchased a TT1 NE and have been reading here about the North America maps versus the USA/Canada maps that came with it.

I understand I will need to purchase a SD card if I want to add the NA maps.

Here are my questions:

Is the difference between NA and USA/Canada maps significant?

Where can I download the NA maps? I have not been able to get to them on the TomTom site.

In terms of POI's, yes there is a difference. The USA/Canada is missing several POI categories that NA maps have i.e. Shops.

The map does contain more details such as showing bodies of waters.

Where can I download the NA maps? I have not been able to get to them on the TomTom site.
