Amazon Vendor To Avoid

Amazon.com has partnered with a new vendor which goes by name of 'Device10". Has no phone contact available. "Storefront" is out of date -- originally showing two TT GO 740TM Live Units in stock. But on 5/19after I ordered via Amazon.com and gave CC info and screwed up a selected default shipping, I emailed asking if I could pay extra for expedited shipping, their store front shut down. Now shows out of stock, place reservation.

Lousy customer service. Send email maybe get reply in 72hrs. Send response email on morning of 7/21 and here it is 102 hrs (4 days 6hrs) later and nothing. no have a a nice day, go pound sand, nothing! I cannot comment on their shipping and handling practices -- since they never got my order filled in the first place.

I sent email to cancel order just about 20mins ago. Who knows when I will ever hear from them. Sent Amazon.com customer svc a CC of my cancel email that should protect me and make sure I am not charged for something I never get. Will bet, since I cancelled the order and never actually received anything, that I will never get opportuntity for customer feedback on Amazon.com.

Avoid these folks like the plague unless you have plenty of time and a lot of faith..

Saga Continues

1. Have no response from "Device10" concerning request for order cancel and tell Amazon.com so hold on my credit card is released. Instead, now order status through Amazon.com shows "order being prepared for shipment, no changes possible."

Have talked with very personable and interested live person at Amazon.com who apparently made several notes, told me to ignore the Amazon.com order status and once more reply to the only email received from "Device10" and request order cancellation and state I have purchased item elsewhere. He promises to call me back Friday 6/4 and confirmed that no actual purchase charge has been applied to my account, just a reservation of funds.

2. TT Cust Svc by phone said Target.com has received shipment of new GO 740TM. BE CAREFUL! As of this past evening, Target.com showed item in stock, but even though the retail price of $319.99 is shown and a $20 discount applied (resulting in a price which matches the 740TM retail price) the stock number is for the GO 740 Live being replaced not the 740TM.

3. Amazon.com has apparently overcome the pile of preorders for the 740TM which accumulated, since my "reserved" one delivered yesterday. Other than opening the box and making sure all was included, I didn't get to play with my toy because my wife of 42 11/12 yrs has me involved in outside project while weather is cooler than normal for a Late May in Las Vegas, NV. Since prime reason for getting the TT was travel to never before visited areas as we celebrate our 43d anniversary, think I'll humor her:D

Final Update.

A couple of days after lengthy phone call to Amazon.Com legal re: my belief they were being made party to fraud being run by Device10, they made my order go away. Interestingly, except for the printed copies I retained, every online record of the transaction vanished. CC never charged. $300 Hold on CC released. Device10 no longer advertises any brand GPS device for sale.
