After upgrading to a 2 GB card

After upgrading to a 2 GB card by copying everything from the tomtom and pasting it to a 2 gb card. after that all worked well. But when I try to do a backup using tomtom home software I get error. I do not know how to paste a screen shot in here if some one can tell me how I will show you the error

When you are trying to backup using TTHome, are you first switching the device to the sd in TTHome's menu?

I am not so sure you can just copy anything to the SD card, except may music. The TT did not recognize any map that I copied, it had to be installed, maybe it is the same with other types of files?
