Adding SD Card to TomTom One

I just got a new TomTom One, the North American version. I'm going on a trip to Italy soon, so I downloaded the Italy map. TomTom Home says I don't have enough memory to install it. So I inserted a 2GB SD card that I happen to have (a SanDisk Extreme III). The TomTom displays an animation showing the card being removed, and then a red X appears on top of the card. It appears that it doesn't like this SD card. So I inserted a different 2GB SD card from Kensington. Same result. Am I going about this wrong? I thought you could just add memory space by inserting an SD card. (Though the user manual doesn't address the subject, unfortunatey.)

Hello,

What you need to do is copy everything from the internal memory to the 2GB SD card. After having done that, you can boot up properly and install the Italy maps.
