Hi all, newby so sorry if this has already been posed and answered, I couldn't find it.
I have Nav 6 on an iPaq and am pretty much happy with it but I have found this bug and wondered if there's a patch for the software I can download to fix it or just have to put up with it? Here's how to reproduce it:
- Browse map
- pick a point on map (any will do to test this)
- click on the "cursor" icon to get the menu of options to do with this selected point
- click on "Add PoI"
- click on the PoI category you want to save it under (make sure it's one you can write to, some of them appear to be "read-only")
instead of being taken to the screen to type the name etc I am instead asked if I want to enable or disable (it toggles between the two) the warning sound for the PoI. If you click through this you do get to the PoI management screen where you can click on "Add PoI" again and this time it does what you wanted to do the first time (select the category and then it allows you to give a name to this new point).
It's only minor as you do get there eventually, but I have taken to using PoI's instead of favourites (as they are stored on the SD card rather than in the internal memory of the PDA, so don't get lost if the PDA crashes) so I just find it frustrating.
Anyone out there have an answer?
Cheers
Dik
