A new TomTom

My daughter just got a new TomTom VIA 1505 TM.Now she doesnt have a computer ,so I'll be doing her updates ans stuff on mine.My question is since I have the XL350 TM and we both have lifetime maps,will it mess my map updates on my TomTom home if I also connect hers to it orwill it be alright and it'll know which update to put where.Sorry this sounds stupid,but iam just wondering if both of our tom toms will be alright from the one home page.I hope Iam explaning this right.Thanks

Harry, your 350 uses Home 2. The 1505 REQUIRES the use of MyTomTom (get it at tomtom.com/getstarted).

Once installed, connect the 1505 and register the unit with a DIFFERENT email address than the one you use for your model. Doesn't even have to be a real one, just in the form of aaa @ bbb.com.

While in theory it's possible to register an activation code for the lifetime maps (M) online, most North Americans find that functionality problematic.

Call CS at 866-486-6866 to activate the maps at their end for the 1505 unit.

(and I hoped you activated the lifetime maps for yours...)
