Is there a way to get all the files for a 930? Ive tried dif Navcore versions, and even tried file buy file, Im able to operate the unit, but the touch area on the screen is off, I have to press more to the left of screen in order to activate certain buttons. but for the far left buttons, Im not able to activate them. Another thing, when I downloaded the latest HOME2 and downloaded the latest updates, I lost my computer voice, which was Susan. The files are there for Susan, but Im not able to select it on the voice screens. After I cleaned my unit up, and formated unit, I copied all necessary files to operate it. And it works. Then I downloaded Susan, and Home installled it on the unit, but Im not able to select it, maybe theres some file missing in the unit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried a pin reset on the unit?

And whewn you connect to Home-->Manage my device (2nd screen) -->Items on Device-->Voices, what does it show? Hw about items on computer-->voices?

it shows that susan is there, but when I go to the screen to change voices or say the voice list, susan isnt there just mandy. I use to have the Portuguese computer voice also, and worked fine, until I updated to the latest version of Home 2, it backed up my device, but some how screwd up the voices, and now it appears also that the screen cal is of too. I read here that we can create a file, to correct the cal, but from what they expain, on the line in diagnostics, there should be 4 set of numbers, and mine shows the 4 set of numbers and next to it shows @3300mv. which I assue its the battery voltage. Not sure, tks

Hey Arno, looked in Loquendo folder, and all those files that you show, are there.
Im wondering if there a file that makes the unit recognize which voices are in the unit?. Cause when I manage my unit, it shows as being in the unit.
Thank You

In the voices folder, it has the following files

data116.chk
Recovered file fragments

data116.tlv
tlv file

data116.vif

susan-L7.tlv
tlv file
Just to check a possibility, did you by any chance let Windows "correct" the data116.chk "file fragments"?

Windows thinks that any file with the ".chk" extension is a file fragment and tries to "fix" things for you. Unfortunately, TomTom uses the ".chk" extension for normal files that should not be altered by Windows. Not a wise choice by TomTom, IMO, because it can lead to problems.

Itsa great possibility what u are saying is true, cause I run DISK DEFRAG quite often. You et, it could very wellhave been Win, but I have 3 tommtom gps´s, the latest one being via 1500, before I bought this unit, I called TOMTOM and they confirmed to me that this unit would have the Portuguese computer voice, to this date, wheres the Portuguese voice? up in space I believe. Wanted to give it to a friend of mine that speaks Portuguese. And I called them from week 1. They just kept telling me that it would be out soon. 2yrs later, nothing. Sorry kind of got off track here, Back to win, unless windows changed something, but I have been doing defrag for ever, it never corrupted my tomtom backup, it wasnt til I upgraded to this latest HOME that this all happened, maybe a coincidence. Thanks for your time.

I don't think it is HOME that causes the problems, I think it is the newer Navcore versions.
Until 9.430 everything worked fine. I had to upgrade to it in order to use the 3rd quarterly map of a years subscription last June.
I think it was 9.465 that curtailed the searches to a 50 mile radius.

Just as a clarification for any readers who are not familiar with this board - Arno would be banned because of extremely foul language, not because of criticism of TomTom.

This board is not officially connected with TomTom, so Arno would not run into trouble because of critical remarks about TomTom. It would just be because we would like to have an environment that is comfortable for people from a sheltered background who might not appreciate the type of language that Arno would use.

Arno also knows that our board filtering software would have asterisked his posts into oblivion, leaving naught but a bunch of pretty stars :D

Just some info, on what I did. I deleted all of susans files from unit, and my computer, forcing HOME to look else where for computer voices, so then I started home, and downloded Susan again. After downloading I looked for all files pertaining to susan in the unit. This time in the voices folder, only downloaded 1 file pertaining to susan, SUSAN L7.TLV, the other files I had before like .CHK dont show up. So its not consistent, when downlading files either. I dont know if its the navcore that mishandles the files or whta,

Anybody have this file ( Portugusept.gpr) Ive crossed check the files from SUSAN, and the only one tht im missing so far is the above mentioned. Im making progress, I was able to get the 930 going adjusted the screen area, and have Susan talking, now I need Port to be like I had it. Thanks guys

No help here, I'm afraid. In which folder does it normally reside?

Well normally if you had your unit also speaking in Portuguese, it would be the following.(LoquendoTTS\Data\language\english) this is for english language, now for Port, it would be (Loquendotts\data\language\Portuguese)

I've never had the Portuguese voice on my older unit, so that's why I'm no help. Sounds like we'll need somebody from the Iberian peninsula to assist!
