Hello Folks,
Am a newbie to the TomTom Forum, and GPS in general. Have used this forum to give me a better understanding of the functionality of my 930. Thanks to one and all.

Have a couple of questions that I hope you will be able to help me with.

1) Since no topic heading is shown for the 930, would I be correct in assuming that the posts concerning the 920/920t will carryover to my device?

2) I have a Motorola Razar V3xx and At&t offers MediaNet Unlimited for data. Will this combination provide me with the means to receive TomTom Fuel Prices and upload them to my (already connected via Bluetooth) 930? I can't seem to get much of a straight answer from At&t.

Thanks,

As far as I know, this area covers the Go x20 and x30 models so you're in teh right place.

As to your second question, is your unit able to establish a data connection when you set up your Razr? If yes, then you will be able to get TomTom traffic and other services (including fuel prices, assuming you have subscribed).

I have a similar setup but since my AT&T account went all the way back to Cingular, I had to choose Cingular Medianet in order to get the data connection established. Otherwise, the attempt produced an error with no connection established.

Also, you should be aware that TomTom's servers occasionally give problems connecting. These usually resolve themselves but on one occasion I had to call TomTom support and have them reset my traffic subscription and then do a full factory reset before the subscription was recognized again.

You will be fine using the at&t unlimited medianet.

( thats what I use for the traffic....fuel....weather services on my 930 )

CCARSON & PSJ,

Thanks for the replies, been out of town for a few days and just got back.

Regarding my post:

If "data connection" is bluetooth, then yes I'm connected. If it's not, well I'm not quite sure yet but I do have "Wireless Data Enabled" as well as "Receive Files". Unless there is someway to verify beforehand, Ill subscribe to AT&T MediaNet for a test hop.

Hey donganas,
I've got the Go 920 and a V3xx from ATT. Does your text/sms messaging work on the your 930? I can't get mine to work, but everything else does.
