So I have been having an intermittant problem and want to see if there are any other ways to fix besides doing a reset. If I am navigating to a location, the sample audio books will start to play, any suggestions as to why this is happening? Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you played one of them (multiple) before? Maybe it begins playing where it left off unless you actually MANUALLY STOP or PAUSE it?

I did not start listening to them until they randomly started playing by themselves, mostly it is the Stphen King one. Sometimes I can be 20 minutes into a trip, and the story starts, sometimes it happens when I turn it on. It happens about 75% of the time. Getting closer to hitting the reset button. It is annoying. I take it that the unit has to be powered on prior to hitting re-set?

Since the RESET button will not generally erase any data or settings, you should just do it. BUT you should have already made a backup of the unit just as a precaution.

In addition, I've seen reference to pressing the RESET button when the unit is off and also to press it for like 15 seconds - but I have not had to do that.

I've also read about some tool on the TomTom support site which clears FLASH but that does not mean an SD card but really the cpu's memory. I gather it can sometimes go off on a frolic of its own.
