920 Voice Problem

Had a situation today while on a phone call (bluetooth thru the 920) while traveling. The conversation between me and my called went dead but my phone showed we were still connected also the 920 quit "talking, giving directions, I also tried the voice/volume test, nothing. It was as if everything locked up until I rebooted.
I'm wondering if the 920 trying to give directions while I was on the call locked. I was coming to a turn where it would have been giving directions.

Thoughts??

Here is the solution.
When your on a active call and your connection is dead, click on the main menu and select 'Mobile Phone'
Then select the option 'Transfer Audio to Phone'
This will disconnect your phone for that moment until you make another call.
Doing this will have your TomTom once again speak out your directions.

Appreciate your reply but I'm wondering if this is an ongoing problem that will lock both units up if the phone is used thru bluethooth.

Im not sure if this will be an ongoing problem.
I think I've only encountered once with my 910 more than a year ago. It hasn't happened again.

This has happened to me more than once. Also there are times when an incoming call comes in and I click Answer it will pick up then quickly hang up the call. It may be caused by having the data connection connected at the same time. Did you have your phone connected to a data connection as well? I'm going to disable wireless data and only allow handsfree and see if that stops that. Then again that would suck if I have to pick between the 2 depending on the situtation. :(

Don't have data so that wouldn't have contributed. Not good since I got this for the wife with the handsfree being a big factor.

Hi,

I noticed that when it would have given a voice instruction for the NAV whilst you are on the phone it beeps instead, to prompt you into looking at the map.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,
I will give the 920 special credit for how quick it pairs with the cell when turned on. I recently made a call from my cell forgetting the Tom would intercept it so when I heard the ringing coming thru the Tom I ended the call but the Tom just kept ringing and it was a solid ring not the usual ring-silence-ring. I finally turned the Tom off but it kept ringing and hung in that mode for a good 60 seconds before it would shut down. Needless to say I don't have bluetooth enabled anymore.
PS: Not sure if it was trying to give any announcements at that time.
