920 compass east west is reversed

I visited the Commercial Vehicle show at the NEC inBirmingham UK April 2012. The Dutch gentleman with a suit said his 930 tom-tom compass which he had worked fine and the 920 series should do the same. I had formed the opinion through online investigation that I was not alone with the problem. He said he would look into it. half a month later and nothing done. The 920 has always been the same since NEW.

I really would like to get it working. Tomtom technical support appreciated.

One of the most common NON issues that users complain about. The compass ONLY points North. Period.
