910 remote functionality

Hello,
i purchased a 910 without the remote and was wondering what exactly you can do with it? can you power on / off the device with it? what do the buttons do? do you all find it useful? Thanks. And I guess if someone has one they don't use I may be willing to buy it off of you. PM me (but I will make a post for that in the trading section).

Hello and welcome.
The remote does not turn the unit on/off. This would not be a good feature because it may accidently turn the unit on/off if dropped or stored somewhere.
The remote pretty much does everything you would do except for zoom in/out on the browse map menu. I use it all the time except for typing. Im a little faster than the remote
