This issue is being caused by the 8.014 application that is installed on your device. This application update allows use of the RDS-TMC antenna accessory. I followed the instructions and now have firmware version 8.010 installed. I can now operate my 125 through tomtom home. I did this mainly because I wanted to enter a password, and two, because I wanted to be able to download places from Google maps. Great. I can do them now.
But, since I did this, I now have to hold the on button for 15 - 20 seconds to connect to the computer. If I connect the USB and turn the TomTom on as normal, it does not ask if I want to connect.
Two, I haven't had a quickgpsfix in almost a week now. It seems they were almost daily before. My computer sits by a southern facing window, and before, I would acquire satellites almost instantly. Now, I have to put the thing in the window to pick them up. Once it picks up the signal, it usually holds it, but tonight it comes and goes.
I did a windows back up prior to the change. If I were to go back to the newer version, I guess I would lose the password and the Google maps download and I really don't want to do that.
Any ideas?
