I bought a new car last year and it came with a Garmin GPS that fits into a built in cradle. I gave up my Tomtom since the Garmin was well integrated into the car stereo and speakers for navigation and bluetooth calls.
Well fast forward 9 months and I despise the way the Garmin works.
After I did some size comparisons I decided to buy the GO 740.
Some small retrofitting to the bult in Garmin cradle that came with the car the Tomtom would fit perfect exception of Tomtom's "active mount". I unfortunately assumed that the 740 it would have a mini-usb connector and I was wrong.
Has anyone come across a "active mount" cable that connects to the 740 and then directly into the cigarette lighter adapter?
What is the advantage of this "active mount"? So far I have not seen any.
