720 traffic files

Hi I'm sure this has been posted befor BUT cannot fined it with a search on the site.

I have a tomtom 720 traffic
4 gig sdhc card.
maps are Western europe

All was running ok untill I went to up date on the 5th Nov 2010
It was downloading the update when a pop up came up saying that there was not enough room to install files.
Then said Deleting files.
Now when I switch on it does nothing.

I have backed up the card to my computer with explorer also
the unit, so all folders and files are safe.

I then deleted all files from the card and unit.

Now do I need a BIGGER sdhc card OR can I store more on the existing card.

If so what files to put on the unit and what files to put on the card

what version of sofware for unit, version of map etc.

You can certainly put the map folders on the sdhc card, any mp3 files, photos......

In fact, some run absolutely everything from a sdhc card and leave nothing on internal.

If, for example, you were to get a 8 gig sdhc card and copy everything from internal onto it using Explorer, insert the card into the unit, you'll have much extra space for lots of other stuff in the future.
