540 Live Command & Control is greyed out

Hi Everyone,
My 540 live became corrupt a week ago and I read on the TomTom website instructions to delete and reinstall the operating system. This has solved my problem but also created a new one. Now I have lost voice direction facility and the command and control function. Can anyone help please.

You may wish to try this:
1. Do a reset on your unit. Not sure if there is a dedicated reset hole on your model; if not, hold the power button 10-15 seconds till you hear the drum roll.

If that doesn't work............

2. You could try to restore to Factory Defaults. You'll lose all your custom settings but it is worth a shot, I suppose.
