I was wondering why the 3D setting on my GO 920 with latest firmware and maps looks more like 2D? I have looked a several adds for new 920's and 930's and the display screen they show looks more like 3D plus the status bar is a little different. Is there a way to make it look like this one?

You'll find the 3d data imbedded in maps is more noticeable for urban areas over rural areas and, for urban areas, the downtown core of a city tends to have more 3d stuff as such.

Exactly. What TomTom calls the 2D view looks more like a regular paper map, straight down birds-eye view. TomTom's 3D view really just means the camera angle is more at a 45? angle above the car and you can see what's ahead of you. 3D view is easier to follow if you're not familiar with the area. I find 2D to be more helpful in areas I'm already familiar with.

Try to change the "Current Location icon" from default BLUE arrow to a car icon. Back to the main screen, if you see the car, then you are in 3D mode, if you still see the blue arrow, definitely you still in 2D mode.
