1505 tm

Have the early problems with the 1505 TM been resolved? I currently use a XXL530S but it has no map/traffic updates and most of the newer models, including the 1505, are advertised as having lifetime map/traffic updates included. Sears is running a special on this unit and I'm considering it but wonder if it's as reliable as its' predecessors? All of my previous TomToms have been excellent.

There is a BIG difference between the new models such as the 1505 and the older pre-Navcore 10x models, including the fact you have no access to the file system with the new model as it doesn't show as a removable device on your unit. You also can't use Home 2 but must rely upon the MyTomTom interface which is problematic.

Features are also reduced in some new models.
