Good day! Did not see this topic posted anywhere, so thought it's worth sharing the info.
I have a brand new 130S (box opened last week). Connected it to my computer, ran all the update processes (HOME, maps) and everything updated successfully. When trying to transfer locations from TomTom Routes or Google Maps, I receive the following message: "This functionality is not yet supported for your combination of naviagation device, your device application version and you computer's operating system." Same error is received trying to run "Operate my ONE" in the HOME app.
I emailed TomTom Support about the issue, and their response was (received Aug 27 2009):
The program that allows you to operate your device through the computer (known as the online emulator) is currently undergoing updates for improved functionality. As such, it is not available for use at this time. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause.
Although we do not have an estimated date for the completion of these updates, please rest assured that TomTom is doing everything possible to expedite them. We appreciate your patience while we continue to improve your customer experience.
To say the least, I am very disappointed that a brand new TomTom GPS has operational issues that prevents me (and probably other users) from adding custom locations to the device. Not a good first impression of TomTom, as I have owned only Garmin devices previously and may need to go back to Garmin. At this point, I have a few more days to return the device and look elsewhere.
Regardless, just wanted to pass on the info.
Cheers!
